I have just read a good article in todays Daily Mail weekend magazine about BOAC Stewardesses in the 1960/70's.

It actually has a photograph of the infamous Pink E Type Jag belonging to a lady who errrr was a 'friend' of the Sheik of Bahrain!

This is on Yesterday channel 21.00 21st March I look forward to a bit of nostalgia.

I remember the BOAC hostesses from the '60s

they were really OLD

Mind you I was only 10 so everyone else was old....

Then somewhere around age 13/14 I noticed that they'd all got a lot younger and strangely attractive.....

Jag with the reg. FU2

Wasn't that Fiona Richmond or did she work for BA before working for Paul Raymond ?

Yes Fiona Richmond was a BA hostie and did have FU2 number plate but not on the infamous pink E type that was a different lady.

She was actually writing for a sex column in, I think, Mayfair men's mag. When BA found out her Coffee, Tea or me days were over.

As a little aside some time later she was appearing on stage at the Windmill Theatre owned by Paul Raymond who owned Mayfair.

That night I, and a whole bunch of male cabin crew and pilots, were sitting in the front row on a Stag night , the look,on her face was a treat as she scanned the faces of many, many chaps she had 'knowledge' of!

The registration number belonged to a mini which was driven at graet speed round Soho. Miss Richmond was the first lady I worked with who appeared to have implants, which for a 24 year old in the 60's was quite a revalation. I spent more time than was strictly necessary looking for the scars. Before anybody casts any asperations, as a focus puller working on a 50mm lens at f2,2 I had very little depth of field, and one has to be accurate in my profession, so there !!! Regards
