Hello. I'm new to this forum but I'm a 21 year old female flight attendant only been doing this job 8 months and I'm in a bit of a messy situation :(

A few weeks ago i was doing a 2 night layover and the firstofficer and me got on really well, there was a real attraction and after two days and lots of drikns and flirting, i asked him to my room.it was me who asked him. we fooled a round a bit and one thing led to another, but we ended up spending the night together. I didn't know it at the time but he is going out with a senior flightat tendant and somehow she found out and is making life really dificult for me. i don't mean to sound stuck up but i'm really pretty and often girls feel itimidated by me, but honestly i didnt know he was going out with anyone.
has anyone on here got any advice or has anyone been in the same situation cos i dont know what i should do?

Damage limitation.

Don't sleep with anyone else for a very long while (at work at least), that way you can pass this off as a blip and also convince people that it truly was a connection between you both and not a normal thing for you.

If you hop into bed with men on your next 10 layovers it will be impossible to convince anyone that you are anything but a home-wrecking :mad:.

You need to safeguard your reputation.

Sleep with more people and it will be in tatters.
Give it some time and this F.O will 'connect' again with some other, prettier girl....and you will come out of it unscathed as his girlfriend's attention turns to the next woman he cheats with.

redbull dependant is quite right...i'm sure you didn't get into this career because you envisaged one big paid-for-by-someone-else travelling knocking shop? Even on a layover (despite the name), you're representing your company,you're an adult, and I think a bit of discipline and restraint is called for. Like redbull dependant said. you don't want to be seen by everyone you work with as a sl*t, do you?

Moving on to how you should deal with the girlfriend of said F.O.: I think the only thing to do is approach her, apologetically, and explain you didn't know he was attached. Its after all more HIS fault as it is yours!
