CPL(H) and heli employability

Morning all,

Can anyone help point me in the right direction or offer some advice on what is required for an SH mate (circa 1500hrs) to get a CPL(H)?

Has anyone taken the jump recently or looked into future employability within the heli world??

Any advice most appreciated!

The current military accreditiation scheme ceases on 7 Apr 2012; details of the replacement scheme have yet to be revealed.....:confused:

There was a thread on here recently pointing to a company at Kemble.

They have/had one more place between now and April to convert QSP(H) to civilian licence.

Wasn't too long ago?

I am outside and in the air ambulance world. Our company have shedloads of people applying for jobs. No IR, no job unless you have a fast track optIon, ie military accreditations which are being binned. Budget for an IR. :ouch:

You can (to the tune of 400 hrs) use sim hours towards the military accreditation scheme. I had my CPL(H) in hand with 1600 hrs in my logbook. But, you have rather missed the boat. Unless you can squeeze in a class 1 medical, a bridging exam and several CAA exams before April (oh, and get the application in). Perhaps wait for the new scheme?
