hmm...

Hi all

Wondering if anyone could help.

I need to upgrade my co pilot a330 rating to a command a330 rating. I hold 2250hrs as copilot on a330 already and 700hrs as captain on a320/1.

I am not interested in a full type rating or CCQ course. I just need to do the quickest (and cheapest) COMMAND upgrade for a330 that would be recognized by CASA in Australia.

I have been quoted ridiculous prices from 40 000 pound to $15 000USD. AGAIN this is not an initial type rating or CCQ. The upgrade should normally include ground school and 3 sims (max) + 1 check.

Any help would be appreciated

Command upgrade... Give a look at Cockpit4U. I spotted something related on command on their website yesterday.

CASA? Do you have the right to live and work in Down Under?

Look at this from Panam Academy. They should be cheaper than some of the others and CASA is known to have accepted their TRs for endorsement on CASA flight crew licences:
Airbus 330 / 340 Type Ratings | Learn about A330 / A340 Type Ratings | Pan Am Academy (http://www.panamacademy.com/airbus-a330-a340-type-rating-and-training-courses)
Airbus A330 / A340 PIC Reduced Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61

I have heard of a good school that used to be based in Essendon, flymarshall.com When I was there they were instructing on C150s, but I hear they have come a long way since then.....
