News from the sandpit is that MD have asked for their deposit back but have been told to whistle dixie.

Lynnee T of take no prisoners TV fame says she is not worried as she is now looking to sell to the Chinese if they can afford her wares. Discounts being offered.

The deposit as she puts it, was a good faith deposit :E

Speaking of which, was she dressed like a nun at the HAI this year? Usually her appearance gets all pilots pursing their lips and clucking their tongues, but this year - nothing. I saw one photo of her but the podium hid how deep her neckline really went.

I wonder how many 'good faith' deposits she has returned to people who have placed them with her?

New majority owner revives MD Helicopters | Aviation International News (http://www.ainonline.com/?q=aviation-news/aviation-international-news/2006-10-02/new-majority-owner-revives-md-helicopters)

The AIN article stated that Patriarch Lynee T owns 51% ??? Is this still the case?

Henk Schaeken not stirred, ex CEO and now salesman at MD Helicopters is quoted in AIN:
“Patriarch Partners are now 51-percent owners, with MD Helicopters BV and ABN Amro, our long-standing bank, as minority shareholders."

Question: Who are MD Helicopters BV? what does the BV stand for? and who owns that company??

The net shows that a MD Helicopters BV company is based in Tiel in the Netherlands and manufacture helicopters? Never heard of them?

Is it just a front company for a bank or another company?

The CEO is called Roodenburg. Any relation to Lynee?

Md helicopters have been on the back burner for many years, the main problem was the management change many years ago...... And quite simply they don't have the money to play with the big boys, and no doubt will soon top themselves in the years to come.

Umpah, other interesting questions are: who are the 'partners' in 'Patriarch Partners' and how much control do they have over how LT invests their money? There has been investment into MD Helicopters since Patriarch Partners acquired it, but where have those funds come from. LT is not in the habit of actually investing her own money but generally invests other people's money. I wonder if the other owners of MDH invested as well or if their shares were correspondingly reduced?

It seems that it was LT's intention to stage an 'apparent' recovery of the company and then 'flip' it, but a combination of events precluded that. In the meantime, MDH's product line has grown older and has lost much of its previous value to most of the potential buyers. Will LT manage to pull off a US Government contract for helicopters which might rescue the company? With the decline in US government spending that seems unlikely.

Haven't there been a couple of contracts for MD500s to countries like Afghanistan and at least one African country?

Is Lynee T just the vocal person for Patriarch, who are the partners/money behind the scenes? Whilst looking up Patriarch I was amazed how many times the company have been taken to court, some of the settlements against them are in the millions!

Anyone know who is behind the BV company in The Netherlands which Schaeken mentioned in his news article? Is it a Dutch Patriarch partner in disguise?

I believe the Kenya Government/Military operate several, though my info is sporadic these days. My contact, old Police Air Wing, has retired - VFR

HueyDog, the Patriarch partners are not listed from what I can see, and the Netherlands MD Helicoper BV share holders are also a closed book???

Lynnee T has been busy getting sued in the US courts from what I could see while having a browse for any partners.
12 court cases listed in the states alone.
Cases filed matching "Patriarch Partners, LLC" :: Justia Dockets & Filings (http://dockets.justia.com/search?q=Patriarch+Partners%2C+LLC)

Dont think she'll have much luck getting her deposit back down here in the sandpit. Her lawyers might not get out of the country

Sorry for a stupid question, but why would you put out a deposit if you are trying to sell some helicopters?
Thanks,

Dutch (BV) companies are often used by large firms as a finance arm for efficient tax planning. Such a company is not usually involved in the day to day manufacturing side of things but is mainly used for money raising etc.

It is not a deposit, it is a bond. They want to make sure you are serious.

Things could be looking up for MDHI if they get a contract to build the AH-6i airframes for Boeing for this contract.

Asked a couple of questions over here in the sandpit, and the money men reckon the BV company is a front for the same person who used to own the MD company, and is the one pulling the strings over in the US to obtain the military contracts.

3 Blades must be right, it must be tax thing?
The BV owner even has his own wiki page and an interesting history :bored:

How come MD are not more open about their partners? EADS have a full webpage about their directors and partners.

And quite funny, the full name of EADS is EADS N.V , their headquarters are in the Netherlands too.
