I know there are a lot of people on here who enjoyed a good night out in Dony while going through 6 FTS at Finningley but i have some bad news.
Doncaster belongs to Scotland, and the mayor wants to return his town to its roots.:ok:

How will we manage with the re-drawn border? Without Donny?!?! OMG!

Probably the same way we managed when Berwick-upon-Tweed was at war with Russia...

..just treat it as a MEZ and make sure you have your goolie chit.

..and if captured, pray they don't force feed you deep-fried mars bars whilst you have to listen to the Bay City Rollers...:eek:

The Scots are not thrifty enough to be part of Doncaster....

...Doncaster belongs to Scotland...

Which explains a lot. Dreadful place.

Navigators and Doncaster - they deserved each other...:\

Being a navigator and a Yorkshireman I think I resemble that remark

Although not from Donny, does that mean we get a say in the referendum?:}

I always knew there was sump'n funny about the place.

Can they come and fetch it back very soon, please?

You can keep it mate.

We Scots are generous that way

We don't want your rejects, come and get it shifted! Anyway, it's been parked on a double yellow line for years.

Bit difficult, think the wheels fell off that wagon quite some time ago. We've just kept quiet about it until now so we can play the Argie "colonialism" card during the referendum. Except it'll be over who has to put up with the place

thank goodnes for that - it'll mean the trip for the Duty-Free's will be a lot shorter!

And I could possibly run for a whole week on a tank of cheap Diesel from there....

Well it would just be typical if some smart nut struck oil there. Then there'd really be something to fight over!:}

Can we not just hope that the plot of 'Threads' comes true?

Bit of an extreme solution but I'm with you in spirit!

But then if they did H the place, would you really notice much difference?

Obviously explains the blue leg and stiletto brigade we loved to watch tripping up the main street at the weekend in short skirts and freezing to death...Fantastic!!!

The post- Finningley aircrew have certainly missed a lesson or two in life.

When I lived in the area in the 70's there were many Scots who had moved to take up work in the coal mines. There must be a lot people in S Yorks who are descendants of the ones who migrated there since WWII.

They didn't fall off, they were nicked. It's been sitting there on bricks for decades. :E

And ME pilots...

Things obviously went downhill rapidly when the real 6 FTS closed at Acklington. And equally obviously the wheels came off the wagon that took it there on arrival!

Speaking of strange alliances... (http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2012/02/21/japanese-industry-embraces-shift-to-midlands-quality-system-****it-thatlldo/)

Edit - unfortunately the forum auto-censor has scrambled the link :(

Click on the second link and on the resulting '404 not found' page substitute the **** with a well known four letter word starting with 'f' (and no prizes for smart answers).
