I know there has been a thread going about the holding requirements into Brisbane at night due to single runway operations, and how %#@#%! off operators are about it all.
I just want to know why? Simple
When I fly into Sydney and Melbourne, it seems to work there with not much holding required, if any. Sydney often can use both 07 and both 34L and R for arrivals and departures at night. But yet Brisbane can't. I just can't see why we have to be vectored out and around on clear nights when everyone is visual with both runways.... that would save us getting held for over 30 to 40 mins at night. It's just bizzar!
And I know about the 2/3 minute separation rule by atc, but is there any reasoning why this is the case at Brisbane at night?
