I'm new to all this, just trying to find out what is needed in the long road to fly in the airlines.

How does it go with all the licences and ratings.

You need an ATPL, a MECIR with 2 to 3 renewals, 2000h total 500h of which multi engine. Unless you do a cadetship then you need nothing.

Find the recruitment / careers page for the different airlines and look at their minimum requirements...
