Does anyone know a link so that I can have a look at the crew flight time limitations, legalities, rest periods etc?
In the UK it's CAP371 but what is the NZ equivalent? Any help much appreciated as internet searches have proven fruitless so far...

Try AC 119....

http://www.caa.govt.nz/Advisory_Circulars/AC119-2.pdf

Also references in Rule Parts 121, 125 and 135...

Part 121 - Air Operations - Large Aeroplanes (http://www.caa.govt.nz/rules/Part_121_Brief.htm)
Part 125 - Air Operations - Medium Aeroplanes (http://www.caa.govt.nz/rules/Part_125_Brief.htm)
Part 135 - Air Operations - Helicopters and Small Aeroplanes (http://www.caa.govt.nz/rules/Part_135_Brief.htm)

Enjoy!

Thanks. Sort of helps. Sadly I cannot seem to find the official specifics. Do the NZCAA reply to emails?

I think you'll find each operator has their own Flight and Duty Times limitations that have to be approved by CAA. So you won't find anything specific, (other than max flight hours in a year etc) in the rules other than each operator has to have an approved FTD scheme.

Trailing edge,
this is simply outrageous!!
If its not bad enough you Kiwi's flogging us at rugby...now you flaunt NZ's simple, concise, and effective regulations in our faces.
How did your CAA manage to write them so that even a pilot can understand without 15 QC's giving an opinion as to what they mean? Their so close to the FAR's too, must make things a lot simpler and cheaper.
Geez mate you really know how to stick the boot in!!
Our lot have been at it for twenty odd years, spent the gross national product, and all they have produced is a few thousand pages of gobble gook.
Must be some brilliant minds working for your CAA, only five years to write yours, dont suppose we could borrow a couple of them for a while, they might gee our lot up.....? On second thoughts probably not a good idea, our lot would only pollute their thinking processes.
Sigh!! if only. Envy is a terrible thing!!
