Possibility of buying a "lightie" presently flying in EU and shipping (40ft container) it to Aus.
Any recommendations for pre-purchase inspection, escrow, dismantling and packing agents either mainland EU or the UK? Thanks.

Why not fly it over? Will take a month or so, but be the adventure of a lifetime if it's an aeroplane you've bought for yourself?

Here's a route that clearly worked for a low performance aircraft...

If Dave could do it in a flexwing, most other pilots in reasonably modern aeroplanes should have a fighting chance.

That is an option, you'll need a range of 600 nm. It definitely would be time consuming getting al the papers for the flying between turkey and indonesia, and I think a month is pretty short, a friend of mine went with a C150 to Greece and it took him 6 days to get there. He planned for 3 days.

But it looks like an interesting adventure to fly the craft over there!

What kind of "lightie" are we talking about?
