Agreed, good effort. Though I have never considered rank or attendance of SARTU as a barrier to excellence.

I have never considered...attendance of SARTU as a barrier to excellence
Likewise, the people at SARTU don't consider the training they provide to be a barrier to excellence either!
BZ indeed. Is it me or does the picture of Major RM, CSgt, Cpl and Lt Cdr omit the chap who actually flew the thing?

Nope, both pilots are named.
My point Charlie Time old chap, is that the citation says a Lt by the name of Inglis drove the thing, whereas there doesn't appear to be a Lt RN in the team phot.
Do apologise from detracting from the thread which should obviously be a straight BZ.

With the aid of night-vision goggles they made short work of the 55-mile transit, arriving on scene within an hour of the initial contact – a remarkable achievement.
Did they mean doing 55mph in a Sea King Mk 4 was a remarkable achievement or doing 55mph in the prevailing conditions was a remarkable achievement?:)
