As I taxied this morning I saw the slightly out of place blue Boeing parked next to an Indo MD80 belonging to Airfast.

Any idea what Thomson is doing so far from home?

They do seasonal charters... maybe a couple a year.
Arrive at CNS from Papeete, Tahiti and on to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Nice to see a B757 for a change, eh?

They are a good looking piece or equipment. It is a pity no one out here operates one. Anyone care to elaborate on what it is like to fly?

Like a 767, but careful..you step down to the flight deck not up.
Dont be distracted by the CA1's rack when you enter the flight deck!!!

TOM have two 75W's operating 'around the world' charters for TCS & Starquest expeditions.

Around the World by Private Jet (http://www.tcsandstarquestexpeditions.com/expedition2.php)

It's only $32,000USD each...

"It is a pity no one out here operates one."

Don't DHL fly one in and out of Sydney fairly regularly?

... because those interested in the aviation industry enjoy seeing a variety of aircraft?

Like saying - it's a pity no Vought F4U Corsairs are flying here.
