EK Medical cover for pre existing conditions

Hi all,

Before I apply, can anyone help me.

My wife has a pre-existing medical condition that she is on permanent medication on over here in UK.

I want to check if EK would cover this

Also

If not, is there other cover we can purchase from other medical firms in order to cover this?

It says the insurance does not cover existing medical conditions. Although in the road show they said that this was changing to be covered after two years of service. Again, this is just what they said, what´s written as of today is the former... They recommend not to cancel any existing medical cover if having pre-existing conditions.

I also heard that if your wife is pregnant when you start, all the expenses won't be covered either. Pre existing condition....

100% True. Arrange insurance for the birth before arriving.

Check with Recruitment people, I am sure they can give You the right answer. I think the pre-existing are not covered for a while, then covered up to a max per year. The coverage improved since last year or so.
