In addition, while this is predominantly an aircrew forum, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the QCS, some of whom looked very young to me, who were at the ceremony. Their quiet dignity and professionalism were exemplary.

Hear Hear. And also thanks to the boys who made it possible for the Herc to be there. I know we are desperately short of frames and that LOTS of effort went on in the background to get that aircraft there. It was perfect and a fitting tribute to a magnificent guy and a great friend. RIP.
