Anyone familiar with the progress of this project in the RAAF?

Is there a solution/resolution in sight? According to Defence the year of decision is 2012-3
All I have heard has been negative - similar to the UK's MFTS.

The rumour I'm pushing is that they're going to set it up in Mareeba with PC-21s.

No announcement has been made. Winning and losing teams have been notified and are being briefed/debriefed. Winner will be announced at the prime minister's/minister's pleasure...

It does look as if Lockheed Martin are in. Did they have any other options other than East Sale for their base ?
