As usual the staff travel desk on Intracx seems wrong.:ugh: I tried dialling the UA reservation number as advised only to get a computer generated voice which leads only to a full fare reservation. Are there any North American CX colleges out there that commute regularly within North America that have the proper interline listing phone number for UA? Feel free to PM me so as to keep the phone number out of the wrong hands.

Thanks:ok:

Thank you for the number. The rest of the comments on your post though weren’t called for. If you were a CX employee you would know that our staff travel website advises us as follows how to list on UA:
United Airlines Inc. (UA)

Please contact United Airlines reservation hotline for subload listing.
Please visit United Airlines (http://www.united.com/) website for more information.

When you visit the website the reservation hotline number is 1-800-UNITED-1. This is the general number to make a full fare domestic flight. No where can I see a link or the phone number 800 UAL LIST for interline listing on UA.

Here is the fast way to list on UAL and NOT have to go through all those computer messages:

UAL: 1-800-864-8331

when ever you hear a computer message just say "AGENT" really loud, that bypasses the message and sends you to the next auto message. You have to "AGENT" (3) times! You are then directed to a reservation agent, (a real person). Be patient with them as English is not their native language.

Tell them you are an airline employee and would like to list on a flight.

Have your flight numbers ready.

When you give them your ERN, they may say it is invalid as their system only allows 6 digits, not our 7. So just give them the first 6 if this becomes a problem

Enjoy UALs world class service. :\

Thank you. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. In the end though I just called the Hong Kong reservation number because I knew it would be open time wise and that they would take my listing. Why CX can’t have the correct information for staff travel amazes me. Even the listing procedures for QF aren't 100% correct and they were updated in Sept with the introduction of E-Tickets. On one page they say you can list up to 5 days in advance and on another they say 2. Even the hours of their staff travel call centre are incorrect.:yuk:

I hear you with the UA service. Luckily the flight we are doing tomorrow is only about one hour. We’ve mostly used AA to date without too much of an issue but unfortunately have to use UA on this leg.

Why CX can’t have the correct information for staff travel amazes me.

Maybe you could send a question in to the Nipperess Says No column in the company Pravda magazine? :hmm:

Joejet and freqflyer, since you seem well informed, do you know how to determine what predicted loads are like on UA (or AA) flights? I've noticed that the loads shown on flyzed.com seem to have no relation to actual loads.

Of course send me the info via the proper channels, otherwise we might have to kill you:}

Just ask when you call.
UA and AA have always told me exact loads

The number is 800-UAL-LIST

Say "Employee" then "Cathay Pacific"

Then it will transfer you to an agent.
