Email your local Special Branch the GAR form.
File a flight plan to Guernsey. No need to telephone ahead there for customs.
Once you land, head to the tower and fill out local GAR form.
Same in Jersey also.

Just don't depart earlier than your flight plan / time on the GAR else the local police get twitchy if they call to see you.

All straight forward and nothing to worry about :)

You need to file a GAR to the local Police unit of the area which you are departing with all details as on form there is no need for customs when departing Uk but you do have to give them 4 hrs prior notice when coming back, also police/sp branch need 12 hrs prior notice. When you arrive in CI's there is a local form to complete on arrival. I suggest you phone Swansea as they will give you the Fax numbers to file GAR. Some airfields(eg Wycombe/Fairoaks) require you to fax them the details and they pass it on to the interested parties
Also you have to file a FPL and check Notams as Guernsey has some parking restrictions and may need you to be handled at vast expense!!

For a trip to CI the simplest thing to do is send the GAR to the local special branch ports unit (contact details on the GAR form ) and the NCU email address also on the form.

You need to do that at least 12 hours in advance and for both ways and if you change plans so that you will be leaving or turning up early, send them an update. If you are coming late don't bother, they can wait if they want to see you ;-)
