I think they just fly Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda with their one aircraft. No clue about their schedule or anything.

Rummoured in London that the founder of Easy Jet Stellious is going to start up an airline in Africa using the same business model and may involve an acquisition of 540
Fly540 have been in Angola since 2008,they havent actually made much progress, the city/shareholders of Lonrho believe they are operating many aircraft in Angola with 80% plus passenger loads, but they appear to fly only one aircraft on one route.

Well, Fly540 do operate in Kenya and Tanzania to at least 18 destinations with 80% load factor. Why the obsession with Angola where they only recently got their papers in order to commence commercial operations. As has already been pointed out, waiting for a second ATR to commence other routes. What may your interest in this matter be, sir. I smell a journalist out to stir something?

I am surprised that you are complaining about their obsession with Angola. The country is far more lucrative with quick petrol dollars to be made and sky rocketing passenger demand for air travel.Surely Angola has more to offer them than Kenya.

Well seems there is more money to be made in Ghana then ... stelios is only purchasing the ghanaian branch of fly540 to start Fastjet which will be based in Accra.

Second ATR 72 already arrived and company currently flies to 3 destinations.

The Kenyan branch has been doing far much better than its west African counterparts, currently operating two Bombardier CRJ's couple of ATR's and Dash 8's with multiple local and regional East African Destinations.;)
And apparently its now official Fast Jet (an Easy Jet subsidiary) is taking over 540 ops in Kenya, operating out of HKJK with two Airbus A319 on wetlease to begin with.

From the Grapevine operations to commence by beginning of May

You must have missed my earlier comment. Fastjet is based solely in Ghana's capital, Accra to serve west africa... the airbus a319's will begin flying out of KIA later this year. 2012.

Got a message from a Colleague who has seen two ATRīs Fly540 in Orange and White painting at a Maintenance Hangar at MGL. One was pulled out of the Hangar for a engine runup. D2-FLC was one registration mark.

Anything further in the grapevine for delivery?

To counter the quite negative sentiments previously posted here.

I see this company's aircraft every day in Angola, they seem to be having really good load factors.

Already they seem top have developed a reputation for reliable ontime service, which is unusual for Angola.

They also have quick turn around times, I saw them turn the ATR in less than 15mins yesterday in Soyo. ( a miracle compared to my own operators turn around times).

I think they are also operating to Bengela now ?

I think this company could become big in Angola, provided the polititians dont try get their hands on the thing and wreck it.
