hello pprune community, this is my first post on the site. i love this site and i love reading all sorts of threads, this question may have already been answered but I'm to lazy to search for it so... I'm currently a freshmen in college in florida, and i have recently obtained a private pilot certificate. i am currently enrolled in a school in which i dislike with a passion. i love canada i wish to enroll in a school in vancouver, edmonton, or another school in canada, i have a lot of places in mind. i want to pick up a degree other then "aeronautical science", however i still want to continue flying and rack up more certificates. my question is, is it possible to take my privates and continue my education as a pilot in canada? what do i need to do? i want to seek out my instrument rating but how can i do this with my US privates in canada? is there a conversion process? i understand what I'm asking may be confusing, and if so please let me know and i will clarify. but the fact of the matter is i have a US private pilot certificate and i want to continue flying in canada...is this possible or do i have to start from scratch?

All these certificates aside, do you have a licence? And can you speak English?
