Had a call from a neighbour to see if I was on the ground. huh?

Heard nothing so googled:

From ABC Website:

Authorities are searching across a large part of inland Queensland for a missing plane.
Mackay's CQ Rescue Service is looking for the missing Cessna over an area from Dysart in the Central Highlands, to Roma in the southern inland.
Rescue service spokesman Phil Dowler says the plane was last heard from just after 3:00pm (AEST) yesterday.
It is not known how many people were on board or where the plane was heading.

Was chatting to him on the ground and observed him depart shortly afterwards.
They were asking on centre this morning if anyone had seen him.

ONE man has been killed when a light aircraft crashed in southwest Queensland.

The light Cessna went missing Wednesday afternoon after taking off from Roma around 2.50pm, en route to Dysart.
The small aircraft was located about 3.10 this afternoon by AMSA's Rescue team, almost 100km north of Roma.
Only one man, the pilot, was on board and search crews have confirmed he was killed.
Three helicopters and a plane had scoured an area between Roma and Dysart since 8am.
Queensland Police are now at the scene as investigations continue.
