Gents,

which carrier offers the shortest time to command?

Of course this depends on realization of expansion plans, but assuming the respective targets will be roughly met, which airline would be best?

I have about 7000 hrs widebody,no PIC, stuck for at least another 10 years in the RHS of a CX744 before I even can think about the failure rates at our command courses..

Thanks a lot

ANY command, probably FlyDubai.

Otherwise, it's about 3.5 years at EK right now, probably similar at QR.

I don't think anybody joining Emirates today will be looking at a command in less than 4 years, but it would probably be less than 10. Etihad would probably be quickest after Fly Dubai, but that would possibly be on the A320. Depends on what sort of lifestyle you want.

QR by all means. Around 3,5 years, likely to stay like that as expansion continues and many are leaving.
With previous widebody experiance hire on B777 likely, and upgrade thereon on cards at least.

QR is the "fastest career" for most pilots, because they quit that sad excuse for an airline and go get another job as soon as their bond is up :ok:

Luke I'm getting tired of your sorry comments about QR, what happen, did they rape your wife?

Emirates -5 to 7 years, Etihad 4 to 5 years, Qatar Airways 5 to 6 years,Gulf Air 7 years. Good luck.

QR is now 3 years average on 320 if you come with more than 3000hrs.

gdukkoq that is not called for. Luke has the right to express his view, there have been 180+ leave since Jan, more to come if the rumor that EK has lifted the no poaching rule. Please don't bring family into it.

I understand but he has made his point already 500 times, why is he so mad? Why can't he just leave it to constructive talk.

Anyone know if that is confirmed? QR to EK is now a goer?
