I've just seen two Fighter Jets in close formation, flying over South Coventry heading north at about 1,000 feet.

I wonder what that was all about ?

( sorry I couldn't ID the type, never been a 'spotter' as such ! )

2 Tornados out of Marham on a routine training sortie..... nothing to worry about...

OK cheers !

It's just that I've never ever seen Fighters in this airspace, they usually fly well south of CVT's circuit.

They were a pair of tornados doing a fly past of Coventry Cathedral as a trubute to the locally raised Red Arrows pilot, who unfortunately lost his life in the ejector seat accident, at the conclusion of the funeral service.

Many thanks CVT :)

That explains it. It was quite a sight to see and something of a surprise too :ok:

A nice tribute !
