With the commencement of STN and BRS last year at CST, it began commercial services.

Fortunes are up this year too, with Sofia announced with Ryanair beginning on the 31st of October, and another airline joining the airport in June! Blue Air with flights to Bucharest begin on the first of June.

The airport should be helped by the boom of tourism traffic in Spain this year, due to security concerns in other locations.
