Hello,

I read in the LASORS 2010 SECTION F F2 "Single Pilot Aeroplane Type Rating".

In part F2.1 they say, you have to do the TR with a FTO/TRTO.

A friend (with a german jar fcl cpl) did his TR (C525) with his company (where he flys a different jet) which is not a TRTO.

Is it possible to to the TR (with a UK licence) on type with the company which is not a TRTO?

If yes, can you please tell me where I can find this in the lasors?

Thanks for your help.

Michael

No it is not possible. It is a requirement of JAR-FCL that the organisation must be approved and as of April 2012 it will become an EASA requirement. As with all things European there are gaps in the Fence; its just the width that varies.
