I have recently completed CPL/multi/IR but with only 200hrs realise that getting a job on such low hours possibly won't happen. So about 6 months ago I applied for a degree in Aeronautical Engineering just in case I was at a loose-end come september.Guess what?,it looks like I will be at a lose end come september.

So my question is this.

Do I send off my C.V's and take a place in college while I'm waiting?
Or do I get an Instructors Rating and start building time?
The option to do both does not really exist in my locality.

I would be interested to know what people in the business think of an Aeronautical Degree after spending so much time getting a commercial licence.

regards,
Tim

Assuming your talking about a 3/4 year course. That much time working as an instructor would get you a LOT of hours. IMHO airlines would prefer that more than having letters after your name. Do the instructors course. :)
