Could this new Boeing designed system be the answer to our annual bushfire problem?
It fits into any 'cargo' plane with the rear door - demonstrated here out of a C130, of which 'we' (RAAF) have a few....
The aircraft flies typically at 500ft - or even 1,000ft is possible for the precision drop. so night dropping is possible.
