Ministry of Defence | Defence News | Military Operations | HMS Liverpool arrives home from Libya mission (http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/DefenceNews/MilitaryOperations/HmsLiverpoolArrivesHomeFromLibyaMission.htm)

Well done HMS Liverpool. The article posted by the MOD states just some of the activity that the old girl got involved in, including supporting the air campaign. Not bad going for a 30 year old ship!

Had a very enjoyable day in LIVERPOOL when she was in FI in early 86. Have alwys taken a close interest in her since. Well done, HMS LIVERPOOL

Hear, hear! She made a brave sight entering Portsmouth this morning. I hope her ship's company thoroughly enjoy their well-deserved leave, especially those required on board for duty in the meantime.

Nice splash here (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3919336/Liverpool-heroes-return-home.html) in The Sun.

Once - just once - it would be nice to read about some aspect of HM Armed Forces returning triumphant, if the article didn't end with news that said aspect will be decommissioned, sold off, scrapped, disbanded or otherwise got rid of in the immediate future.

Gah!

End rant.
