Anybody care to start a sweepstake on the numbers and types of aircraft Emirates are going to announce at this year's airshow?

More 777s or 380s that is the question.

I see the rules of economics don't apply there. In the real world a company seeing its profit down by more than 2/3 would be in a rather dramatic situation....
For sure you will not get a bonus my friend..sorry. But nevertheless keep pumping! Good luck!

Well, not really, an airline MAKING money would be head lines any where in the world. In most parts of the world a press release "deficit down by 2/3" would probably make the head lines. Keep in mind EK still made a profit of 225,000,000.00 dollars in the first six months!!!

I would say:

~More B777
~Launch customer/pre order for the B777NG
~Delivery delay for the A380 so that EK can get the HGW version of the a/c

And for all the speculators out there, keep in mind that the profits declared were for the first half of this fiscal year, we have another 6 months left, it could be an excellent outcome for the net fiscal results.
