Qantas, Dubai Airport and Eid Mubarak!

QANTAS bad luck continues, with an A388 having to be diverted to Dubai whilst en-route SIN LHR. Couldn't have happened on a worse day: due to the Eid holidays, all hotels in Dubai are chokka, as are all flights out of Dubai to practically anywhere.

Television personality, Stephen Fry, is one of the passengers currently stranded at Dubai because of the engine issue, and has posted this on Twitter.

Oh, and Eid Mubarak to all of you as well. Have a great few days, if your schedule permits it!

I think the CVR sounds something like this:
