Hi everyone,

I have been researching now for almost 2 hrs and there is alot of hay and very few needles. I am after afew basic fuel burn rates on acouple of jets, I am not too interested in per seat, per mile or per kg fuel burn rates, nor am I concerned about FL, weights, winds climbs or descents.
I am just after the basic avergae per hour tonne/gal the aircraft comsumes/burns. Please anyone with this knowlegde on the following:

A340-300
A330-300
B777-300 & 300ER
B747-400

Also the average figures on the NM they can cover would be fantastic, I have some of my own figures but I would just like to compare the pair.

Many thanks in advance.

B747-400 Rolls Royce:

13.5 t/hr at 385 tonnes at FL300

10.8t/hr at 310 tonnes at FL350

8.9 t/hr at 250 tonnes at FL390

Compare the figures with the 777 figures given above and you might understand why airlines that operate the -400 and which should have bought 777s are at such a serious cost disadvantage. (Sorry, but it had to be said).

PM me if you want some more.
