i have a JAA PPL license and need to renew my SEP. so the rules are that in the last 12 months to do at least 12 hours of flight where at least 1 hour should be dual.. i have done a lot of PIC hours.. but dual i just hav Night rating dual.. does that count as dual for SEP renewal?? thanks for the help..

Yes it does, provided it was of at least one hour duration. Two 45 minutes flights are of no use, there must be a single dual training flight of at least 60 minutes.

The rules also state that you must have done at least 12 takeoffs and landings in the relevant 12 month period.

my JAA PPL is from Cyprus.. and yes i have more than 12 hours PIC the second year, and i have more than 12 take offs and landings.. and i have dual hours for night rating.. one of them is actually 1.7 dual.. so its even more than 1.0..
