Sad news indeed but I'm surprised he was able to continue to live in the country, if his role in the Westlands Farm attack was known generally.

Some years ago I was playing the 'Green Leader' tape (long since lost) on my car stereo, whilst cleaning the beast as it stood on my drive, doors wide open and quad speakers at high Mach number. People walking past occasionally, glancing at the culprit who had the temerity to play his tape at such high volume. Unfortunately, two rather prim ladies were passing just as Dixon utters the words: 'Jez, look at the fu????rs run'!! Don't think I ever recovered from that.

Great guy - and the Green Leader tape was the best bit of PR Rhodesia put out to the world !!
As ex Rhodesian military it still makes me @#@%% mad that guys like him, Peter Walls and Ron Reid-Daly had to hand over to that terrorist Mugabe !!
