MCC Course CRJ 700 or 900

Hi,

i want to do my MCC Course in a CRJ Simulator preferable in a 700 or 900. Is it true CRJ 100 - 900 is the same Simulator?

Could not find anything through google maybe some of you guys know where a CRJ Sim is located. Would be nice if somebody gone through the same i want to do and will share the experience.

CRJ100 and CRJ900 are different Simulators. You can find both types in Berlin at Lufthansa Flight Training CST Berlin.

OAA have a generic CRJ 200. As one who has flown both 200 and 700 an MCC course on either would be just as useful.

Is there any difference between the CRJ 200 and 700,900 Simulator? What does generic mean is that a fixed based simulator? How about CST in Berlin do they offer an MCC Course?

I know many question guys but would realy appreciate your help.

Thy one at Oxford is not able to be used for CRJ conversions. It has a CRJ cockpit and instruments, and is fixed base with a very good visual. All you would ever need for an MCC. The differences are the system controls and landing characteristics (the 200 does not have leading edge devices) The type ratings are the same with a differencies course.

I did my mcc at CRM Aviation at White Waltham (plenty of Pitts' there!:ok:). They have a Citation 2 sim with all Airbus systems. I think it was an alx allsims. Really good bit of kit and alot cheaper than Oxford.

The thing is i really would like to do it in a CRJ Sim preferable 700 or 900. Oxford has the CRJ 200 FNTP II for 3060 pounds and at CST it looks like they dont offer any MCC training.

Back to the difference between CRJ 200 and 700,900 i do understand that the 700 and 900 have the leading edge device. Iam more worried about the cockpit layout. Is the cockpit equipment the same?

I seem to remember a while back that Atlantic Flight Training at Coventry were using a CRJ (not sure which model) sim for JOC and MCC courses. They have since changed their website which now does not detail what sim they use for their courses. Might well be worth contacting them for some information.

The sim at coventry is a 200. The cockpit layout is much the same for all CRJs including, at Oxford, a dual FMS.

I have sent an email to conventry lets see what they say, thanks for information. What do you think about the course in Oxford? I mean for 3000 pounds on a fixed base sim isnt that a little expensive?
