At what altitude have you 747 pilots been cutting back out of LHR? Which runways do you typically use for departures?

Usually about 1500' the thrust is reduced to climb power, then continued climb to 3000' to clean up. That's the standard "close-in" noise abatement profile.

We reduce thrust at 1,000 feet agl, then climb at V2+10kts to 4,000 feet then accelerate.
Runways alternate between 27L and 27R at 3pm when on westerlies, but usually only 09R for departures (09L landing) when easterlies. Occasional change with the odd landing on 09R if you are into Terminal 4 and there's a gap and ATC like you!
