Hi

I am looking to get my frozen atpl (the modular way). I shall finance it myself so am not looking to get a sponsorship.

I do have grades C's in GCSE Maths, English and a Biology.
A-Level in Business Studies
Along with a degree (BSc Computer Science 2:2)

My question is, on successful completion of the course, will it go against me for not having great GCSE or A-Level results when looking for employment as a first officer?

Yes it will if straight after your course you try to get a job as a first officer. I did awfully bad at my A-levels, D and an E, Maths and Chemistry. Was an idiot at school, did no work. Went out and proved myself flying all over the world in little singles and twins for 7 ish years. Now work for a legacy carrier, in the interview it never even came up. If you are expecting to go straight into the right seat of a 737/A320 save your money as the odds are even more against you with poor academic performance.

If you have an Honours Degree, I can't imagine any employer will be concerned about your GCSE and A level results.

Cheers
