View Full Version : Premiere Inn Hotel ..EK screening spy game.....

Just got this latest bit of intelligence from a very reliable source...
Better you beware what you drink and what you surf on the web while staying in the hotel during your screening cause all your internet traffic and bills are routed trough/ to the EK headquarter next door ( EK owns the Hotel). The first clear viiolation of your privacy pure EK style. You thought of having done a great interview and sim but still failed and cannot understand why?
Think of what website you visited and how many beers you had and you might get the answer..... Actually someone was questioned about its eating habits since he did not eat at the Hotel a couiple of times... Incredible!

I had beers every night of my interview process, in moderation, and I did not eat in the hotel once?... Got the job?
Where do you get this stuff from?

SMA you are one bitter, twisted and completely disliked individual by everyone.

Why even bother clinging onto the past so desperately and grinding down EK at every opportunity, are you that resentful, that jealous of those that you left behind...

Your childish behaviour goes a long way to explaining why you no longer have a job at EK, grow a pair and move forwards its otherwise just embarrassing.

Guys what SMA is saying here is complete utter drivel!

Pathetic, irritating little man!

Seriously Mods how come he hasn't been banned from this site yet?

Yeah, have to call BS on this one. I had a friend interview at EK and he was out late every night, went to every session hungover, and was lucky enough to have some company in his room one night. Guess what, he got the job. Can't say it was the smartest thing to do but it worked for him.

I agree with sheikmyarse.

I have no knowledge of emirates supposed activities.
But when I was there with a goverment company all our emails, company, private and all the web history was looked at, also it was a sackable offence to look at pprune if they caught you.

I would not be surprised within the uae. Those of you who have actually done some descent time there either have been lucky or just about to be shafted.

My habibis... that's what I was told and I have no reason not to believe it given the source. Your motel ( sorry I called it hotel... but it is not..) bill is going 100% to EK and for sure your IP is under control.
If you go out drinking it is another story cause I don't think thay can still stick a gps into your arse...or test you alchool blood level during your sleep at least for now.. . Still your friend makes a good example of the kind of people they are getting recently ..thank you... EK passenger will be happy to know. As per my supposed bitterness or regrets mate,.. don't make me laugh !!!!
Think of me as of a service provider. I try to counseil and prevent at least clever people to fall into a trap if they can . And to give my small contribution to save first world aviation from fokking 3rd world dictatorial middle age uncivilized islamic integralistic, slavery prone human and worker's rights disrespectful governement's subsidised, unfairly competing low cost airlines of which  is the most evident example.

Maybe so at your airline but truth be told I even told the recruiters at my interview that I visited this (pprune) site before coming to the assessment....
But hey, it might be them knocking on my door as we speak:ugh:

And for you SMA, I asked you before and IŽll ask again, if EK isn't the place to be where is:confused: Be reasonable. You canŽt just frown up on anything EK does and not offer any alternative for us poor slobs without a clue. But then again you might not be aiming for reasonably just vengeance for the apparent sacking....

I do not know what happened to SMA in the past but I am sure that EK nor any other airline has any interest in doing what SMA is suggesting.

Todays psychological screening is verry accurate and once in the UAE they can do whatever they want during your probation period if they wanted to.

I am sure that they realise that moving to the UAE is a big step for every pilot that they hire and this is also true for the family they bring with them.

So the risk that a pilot does not fit in the EK system is also valid fort heir spouses and children.

If EK as SMA is suggesting, goes as far as checking your eating, drinking and browsing habits during the interview stage, what about checking your spouse and children ?

Matey, if you don't like it leave, and if you already left just maintain a peaceful silence. The Dr. Phil thing was a joke from my side, but please I don't accept any one offending my Religion, and my country. Let Ek do whatever they want, at the end realize that the individuals who decided to do this aren't locals, am I right? So before judging the government know who came up with the idea!

Ladies & Gents, lads & lassies,

I would personally like to thank Sheiky for indirectly contributing to my pay raises over the years.

For it is the doubt that he sews in pilots minds about joining due to negative publicity that Sheiky creates - that has put pressure on EK to raise the wages.

Sheiky - well done. Please continue to know that every time you write - you do a lot more good for the EK pilot group than bad. Whatever you do dont stop - because it continues to send people away - which gives me and my mates more cash

On behalf of all the pilots at EK and seriously from the bottom of our hearts - long may your posts continue!

With sincere and profound gratitude,

fliion

RE: Pprune

It would be unusual that EK would not give anyone a job based on them visiting this website.

In fact, it would be bizarre.

Why? Because during my interview myself and several other guys I know of were asked if we read the Pprune pages and were advised that it's good to get a balanced assessment of the place before joining and work out it's good points versus it's pitfalls (at the time it was mainly the accommodation fiasco).

It's not too clever to pay all that money to bring someone out to Dubai then have them jump ship with a shiny new 777 rating just because you tried to hide the truth from them, is it?

If you're smart enough before joining you'll make a sensible, informed decision after acquiring as much evidence from different resources as possible. That's what we do as good Skippers during non-normals, right?

And at the end of the day that's what they want to see from you during the interview of course. It's a short stint in the right seat (relative to other legacy widebody carriers) and they want good decision makers ready to make the step up without much assistance.

Irrespective of all that, do you really believe EK is capable of organising all that espionage, when they can't even sew me a new pair of pants I've been waiting weeks for? :}

This is the government of the unelected dictators that you are defending Emirateson? Religion is one thing but Islam of all religions can sure stand to be examimed. I am not saying denegrate it but just have a closer look at the religion and see what it entails.

Alconguin, matey I don't want to start another topic over here, but you need to have a clear understanding of Islam and stop looking at extremes and people from other places who add their tribal traditions into it! What about knowing more about Islam from people who converted, people from your own country? Don't judge by what you hear, examine it yourself and see the results, and examine it form the roots and know why do you see some bad muslims today, or bad practices in the name of Islam, which is really un related. Islam is pure, many things that you westerners look at and say "uncivilized Islam" are actually tribal practices that are wrong and denied by Islam. Take into consideration too that bad muslims are the ones that don't follow Islam rules and understand Islam in a wrong way!! Believe me, Islam is more open minded more that any other religion, pure, unchanged book (Quran) one version, and is all about being a good person to self and others. Its more about positive good morals and ethics and practicality. Know more about it mate, and dont judge only by reading one thing or judging by situations some other faced by dealing with muslims. There is a lot more to say and talk about, I believe in Christianity and the Bible, and I believe in Judaism and the Talmud and respect them both because these are religions from God. If i don't believe in either of them or both then I am not considered a muslim by basic islam rules. Islam always allowed non-muslims to practice their own religion prayers and practices, it is a pure religion, and gives the freedom of choice.

24th Sep 2011, 02:55
Wake up, stop talking about Islam without knowledge, the majority of you are living with a giant veil over your eyes and ears, almost every piece of information that gets to you is filtered and you've all been psychologically prepared to see Islam and Arabs in a certain light.

Is the status and treatment of Women as I outlined a fair reflection of the teaching of Islam?

sheikmyarse
24th Sep 2011, 06:33
Emiratesson I do know about Islam more than you could expect.
I do know that is an inclusive religion with many positivities and I felt its fascination my self.
Unfortunately it has been too many times misintrepreted and used to oppress the masses.
Would you tell me that Saudia Arabia is a fair country?
The UAE have a repressive form of government, just apparently more tolerant but for marketing reason. Human and worker rights are not respected and freedom of speech is negated. This is a fact.
Dubai for geopolitical factors , some of them actually understandable, widespreadly violates the privacy of its resident and it is well known that the yemeny nationals secret service agents keep a close eye on everything. EK uses the same methods and I have proof of it and I'm not suprised, whatever some of my most stockholmized, blinded and intellectually limited button pushing colleagues may say.
This is not about Islam which a fascinating spiritual world but about politics.
I do agree that most of the times , at least in EK, behind bad decisions there is some expat ( most probably a briton..) manager enjoying is semi-god status of impunity still deriving form the Trucial State colonialist era.
But you should move from that and find your own way, nurture your own talent, embrace democracy and sucularism leaving this sort of fairy tale middle age behind. It will happen anyway , the oil money with which the governemnt is paying its consensus will not last forever and a lot has been thrown down the sink in recent years. The world, notwithstanding the incredible pressure of self serving conservatorism and other negative forces , is changing at a faster pace than you can expect and if you don't move fast in few decades you may find your self back looking for water in the desert and fishing pearl in the Indian Ocean which by the way culd be not so bad as it may look if not for the fact that the Jumeira Beach Residence will be there still standing to remember the errors of the past.

I bumped into the Holiday Inn ''barman'' at the EGHQ food outlet during my selection process

I went over to ask him what he was doing in EGHQ. He replied saying he was at the cabin-crew selection day..!

He did have a name badge on in fairness, but it did make me wonder..!

Sorry if I insist but your bill internet connection are routed through the HQ.

This is a plain violation of your human rights and of your privacy which could cost a lot to EK if Dubai was a civilized place with real rule of law instead of dusty nazi version of Wonderland.
Instead they can do whatever they want of your life and in no way you will be able to fight back even if you are 110% in the right.

They had access at the previous hotel, too.

This goes way back. Many years ago, an interviewee I know was questioned after posting on this forum after Day 1. It wasn't contentious, though, and he still got the job. They just wanted him to know.

They don't have access, they just work out who the hell has written the post! Simple - it's not conspiracy stuff!

As for the hotel 'barman' being at EGHQ; well, the hotel sends catering over from time to time...

Let me inform you I have been working in/with third world/underdeveloped/countries/mentally, in Asia, Africa and Arabia, for many years.

I can assure you, if they have the know how they will use it to their advantage to try and gain information on you. You can take that to the bank. They just cant help themselves and it is part of every day existence with some cultures. To me it is the actions of cowards and weasels but not to say it don't happen in the "developed world" also.

I have proof offices, meeting/presentation rooms have been bugged, ISP (One outfit owned the ISP) eavesdropped on and phone records accessed.

I think the point everyone is missing here is: What possible relevant info can possibly be gleaned from bar receipts or internet surfing?

If recruitment turned down pilots based on the fact that they drunk beer, looked at Pprune and surfed porn, then we'd have no pilots joining at all! I'd be more worried if the candidates DIDN'T do those things!!!!

There are 32 pilots every week coming for interview and it would take huge resources to do what you are suggesting.

Get real folks, the company has got better things to do and if they did have the wherewithal to monitor AND DECIPHER 2800 pilots Pprune posting habits, then a fair few 'moaners' on this forum would get their wish and be booted out!

Think about it:ugh:

Around the time of the pre-historic animals, I was a candidate for the RAF College at Cranwell. I was told to stay away from the Candidates Mess as a number of "plants" were there (not the green variety, either). It was also suggested that at least one of the Syndicate Team Members was a 'plant' as well. Geees, talk about paranoya, I got pissed in the Candidates mess every night (five in a row) and rubbished my team members as much as I could. I was one of two selected out of 60 starting on day one. Years later, I was part of the recruitment team in my airline. Dealing with hundreds of qualified applicants left us no time for clandestine activities. Actually, we would have had no interest in pursuing that line anyway. Relax chaps. Be yourself. They know what they are looking for. Good luck & enjoy.
