Thanks DVR6K 9th Jan 2002, 23:42 Jet A1 is dead cheap, less than half the price of Avgas. You can in fact convert your average PA28 to run on Jet A1 at a mere 6 quid an hour, but it costs somewhere in the region of 28,000 quid to get the aircraft converted. As for LCY, dunno. rjsl608 9th Jan 2002, 23:44 Sorry to hijack your thread but what is the density of Kerosine? i.e how many galls/ltrs to the ton/tonne. rjsl608 10th Jan 2002, 00:03 Thanks avlerx 10th Jan 2002, 13:04 16p per litre plus 5% V.A.T. at a large airfield in the midlands. No doubt large airlines are paying less than 10p per litre. Manual Reversion 11th Jan 2002, 06:22 £240 / 1 tonne mitten 13th Jan 2002, 02:00 15ppl, where is that? I'm moving there.. my aircraft burns 8 gallons a minute and I need alot of it! smellster 14th Jan 2002, 05:55 Depends on how big the airline is, but at most large airfields in Western Europe it is around 16 to 18 pence per litre for Jet A1.
