Hi,

I was trying to find out if there was an airline company based in Kuwait (or in the vicinity) operating L-1011, but couldn't find it!

Does anyone know if there's any?

Thanks!

Who was it that 411a used to work for?

411a was working in a Jordanian company which by the looks of it, it's not very recommendable!

It seem there's no more companies with l-1011 out there?

Well, the last ones built would be what? 35 years old?

No, not many operating in the Gulf.

"I believe UAE Air Force still operating the L1011"

Don't think so!! Was a few civil L1011's floating around DXB/SHJ/RAK but haven't seen one for a few months? About 18 months ago I remember a sequence into DXB of a BAC111, L1011, DC86, IL18, B741!!

RAF L1011 still in/out of area

Air Rum in Jordan has a couple of Sierra Leonean L1011 stored in the desert, no more operation, derelict.

Askari Aviation Pakistan (army) is operating two 250' classics leased from Skygate. One has a Kirgyz registration, the other one is registered in Mali :hmm:

There is another classic but freighter on a Bangladesh registry operated by Sky Capital Airlines, their second was written off recently :ouch:

Why these flags of convenience, I let you guess...

There is a Thailand based US registered of Las Vegas Sands, ex Saudi VIP. Las Vegas Sands is shuttling gamblers between LV and Macao

Sky Eyes Airlines and Thai Sky airlines seems to have stopped their Tristar a couple years ago, so doubt that they are looking for pilots except if they intend to resume operations with one of their stored aircraft or by leasing it from Skygate.

Otherwise RAF has 8 L1011-500 still in operations. In the States, you have a 500 called Stargazer and used as the Pegasus XL Rocket launcher, check it out on Wiki...
