Horizon

How would you describe the horizon if the landscape ahead of you is hilly?

I had this problem when I was learning turns. Started the turn with horizon clearly visible, but after about 180 degrees of turn, came the hilly portion, unable to "visualise" the horizon, started losing/gaining altitude...

If at all possible, teach turns over a flat landscape. If not possible, an "imaginary" horizon line will have to do. If you climb higher, it will "straighten out" the horizon a bit. It may help to a certain extent anyway.
