OK for a "local" to know where to look up AIC M 037/2011 (though many clearly don't, or won't) but what about a foreign pilot?

It would be so easy to stick this stuff on a website and put the URL into the notam text.

The basic URL of a website is not case sensitive but anything after the initial "/" is, so that would have to be set up on the server as uppercase, which is trivial.

Yeah, that's quite neat... thanks for that site :ok:

I wonder if it works on Apple's media players?

But Joe Foreigner won't know about it...

But Joe Foreigner won't know about it... The major problem with all of our communications systems is that nobody knows where anything is any more, because we have abandoned all the traditional means of communication, in favour of totally uncoordinated high tech whizzo systems!

It's true that almost nobody flying around for real reads the AIPs (because, outside the White Christian world, they are full of bull) but everybody serious does get Notams - unless flying fully end-to-end IFR under ATC direction in which case they get just aerodrome notams.

The place to stick the relevant info on this kind of thing is therefore a Notam.

It's no coincidence that one of the highest profile CAA prosecutions over a TRA was some bloke from Belgium, IIRC.

No, I'm afraid it doesn't. it appears there's no Silverlight for iOS yet (or ever likely to be?)

Pity, that would have been really useful.
