View Full Version : FAA verification

I hold a FAA CPL and wanted to get a TC CPL. So i appeared for the exam on May 13th 2011 at the TC exam center in Toronto. Passed the exam, filled all the paperwork after and thought i would have the license in few months. (TC says maximum 90 Days)

It's been more than 90 days now, and there is still no sign of it.

There are many friends and colleagues who had appeared for the same exam a month after me but still have received their CPL within 2 months of applying!

I have been contacting TC offices in Toronto regularly over past few weeks regarding this and they tell me that my License was verified but they are still awaiting an ENFORCEMENT VERIFICATION from the FAA.

I called the FAA Airmen Certification Branch in Oklahoma City and confirmed that my License verification was done on August 5th 2011. When asked about ENFORCEMENT VERIFICATION in a later call, no one had any idea what it was. So i ended up getting no answer on that.

Later i asked TC what Enforcement Verification is, and they told me it is a verification of my Accidents and Incidents records. I have a clean record so i don't see why the FAA are taking this long to issue the verification to TC.

Is there anyone who has been through this same ordeal? Is yes, please let me know what you did to correct. Or even if you have not, your suggestions are welcomed.
