Hello. Sitting here and try and figure out some questions.:ugh:
Can not find any concrete answer. If any of you could have helped me with a couple questions, it had been greate:)
(1)The term flat rated means:
A:For jet engines that the engine is rated up to a specific temperature, in so that the maximum thrust/torque is constant up to this temperature limit
B:For normal engines that the engine is rated up to a specific temperature, in so that the maximum RPM is constant up to this temperature limit
C:For supercharged engines that the engine is rated up to a specific temperature, in so that the maximum manifold pressure is constant up to this temperature limit
D:None of the answers are correct
(2) The deceleration force from the wheel brakes is:
A: Equal to the braking friction coefficient divided by the aeroplane weight
B: Equal to the braking friction coefficient multiplied by the wheel load
C: Inversely proportional to the braking coefficient divided by the wheel load
D: Inversely proportional to the rolling resistance divided by the wheel load
(3)Cruise optimum speed is defined as the speed:
A: Answers c) and d) are correct
B: Resulting in minimum fuel consumption per speed unit
C: Resulting in minimum speed per fuel unit
D: Used for optimum cruise conditions
(4)For multi engine aeroplanes, performance class B it is:
1. Accepted that the performance accountability for engine failure must be considered from the commencement of the take-off run
2. Accepted that the performance accountability for engine failure need not be considered until a height of 300 ft is reached
3. Assumed that the critical power unit becomes inoperative at the point where (if the case) visual reference for obstacle avoidance is lost
4. Not permitted to make turns in the take-off climb before the end of TODR
A: All of the alternatives are correct
B: All of the alternatives except alternative 1 are correct
C: All of the alternatives except alternative 2 are correct
D: None of the alternatives are correct
