Well done AE. Don't get yourself a women though will ya, the quality of yr work may drop off, you need to stay focused:E

Wally, them wimmen things is nice BUT,I wouldn't be able to paint whenever I wanted, stay on the computer while I eat, have Cocopops for dinner, wear my best 'trackys' (Tracksedo).

And artists don't always pull the chicks,

Me :Wanna come back to my studio & see my paintings?
Laydee: Oooh, sounds good. What do you paint?
Me: Aeroplanes
Laydee: Um,no thanks.

No Jamair........not that Boss........the other one ;) I am sure she would appreciate it :E.

AS........ever thought of telling them tropical scenery, the Gold Coast, outback cattle stations............

Maybe you could include some nice female forms on the wing of said King Air's DC9's and Retard Vehicles.

Still gunning for one of these!
VH-TJJ Douglas DC-9 (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dc-9/vh-tjj/1135.045.html)
VH-TJN Douglas DC-9 (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dc-9/vh-tjn/1135.064.html)

Failing that, could go for one of these:
VH-TGG DHC-6 Twin Otter (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dhc-6/vh-tgg/1920.438.html)

At a push one of these:
VH-TGG DHC-6 Twin Otter (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dhc-6/vh-tgg/1920.410.html)

Definitely one of these:
VH-TGG DHC-6 Twin Otter (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dhc-6/vh-tgg/1920.050.html)

And at the limits of reality, perhaps one of these!:

Mr Aye Ess is a seriously talented chap.........

Aye Ess

Jaba, I can paint airyplanes, but can't paint wimmen. In fact laydees only know me by one name..."hey,you in the bushes"

Al E Vator,OK,by those cryptic clues,we must have worked together at some time. If you think I don't know who you are. Well, you're correct
Maybe a PM to advise me? Otherwise "MUM,Al E Vator is teasing me again !!"

Jabawocky
5th Aug 2011, 11:44
He said you were a talented chap.....Are you sure you worked together? :E

Hehheehhe just jokes:}

Aye Ess

Sorry Aye Ess, didn't mean to tease!

Not so cryptic clue:

Jaba: were you really meaning to say that as a pilot, Aye Ess makes a very good artist?? :)

Aye Ess, truly remarkable. Have you got the PM?

Aye Ess
6th Aug 2011, 05:55
Skystar (and to others who think that I have ignored your PMs). Many of my messages have got lost in cyberspace lately,so please try again or leave a message on the thread. Skystar,I've just sent you one.

Al E Vator, who are you, masked stranger? I'm SO wondering,I haven't been able to sleep all afternoon.

As I have come to know the artist, he has a keen sense of humour, and often too intellectual for the simple Jaba :} so he is a worthy target for a bit of banter.

As for his pilotage skills.....I dare say he must have equalled his artistic skill levels at that too.

Sounds like you might have some stories on this bloke though. Feel free to entertain us all. :}

Aye Ess
7th Aug 2011, 21:00
Justapplhere, thanks, but notice I've never put a piccy of it on Pprune? It's because it didn't photograph so well. Maybe one day I can con my geeky gen y son into tweeking the image into a more acceptable one to post.

Jaba, witty banter all you like. I'm entirely immune from pwrecious hurt feelings.
As to my piloting skills, well,I became a pilot because I didn't like my previous job. I used to crush drink cans for a living....it was soda pressing.

One of these would be nice too:

VH-TBB Bristol 170 Freighter (http://www.aussieairliners.org/b-170/vh-tbb/1920.041.html)

But most of all, these would be a great subject for the multi-skilled, most talented AE from Rumlang:

AAAAH, HAAA......I knew you'd slip up sooner or later Al E. Vator. The reference to our small quiet village in Switzerland was your undooing !!!!

I used to crush drink cans for a living....it was soda pressing.

Ohhhh how very sad.......Glad you were able to recover from that :}

As for the masked Al E vator.......well one of them I know its not, he has been NOCOMS the last few days at Adels grove, and he and his floral bride are enroute to YBDV in the RV6 as we speak, so cross that one off your list. ;)

How many Aussies were there in your camp?

Al E. Vator

How about a lovely acrylic by Aye Ess of a sunrise scene of this beast:
VH-EDC Douglas DC-3 (http://www.aussieairliners.org/dc-3/vh-jvf/0251.462.html)

superimposed over this area:

Jaba,I got the hint about the 'floral bride'. Very clever:D. There were 9 Aussie pilots in our village & another 14 in another village about 30mins drive away.

Al E Vater, you international man of mystery.....I stayed awake all afternoon, doing a reverse stalk, through all your old posts, comments, threads & general rants, and now I have worked out who you are.Yes,I had a little RAY of enlightenment. So,now your cover is blown. You also would know Jaba's cryptic message of 'floral bride'

With all these requests for aviation paintings you'll be busy for months.

Perhaps an outstanding artistic Aye Ess rendition of a combination of the following scene please Herr Ess...

On a more personal note, I do have rather humourous memories a
of a chuckling Aye Ess attending a class run by a gentleman similar to this:

Hehehehehehe :ok:

So what else has emerged from your "studio" of late?

Aye Ess
8th Aug 2011, 20:43
(*Whispering so only jaba can hear) I've just finished a Skywest F50,Qantaslink Dash 8,Rex S340,,Brindabella J41. Part way through a big one of another PC12, & a Piper Navajo. Plans for a Chipmunk, Bristol Freighter & Auster. But I don't want to hog the threads on Pprune,so,I'll slow the displaying of them.

Aye Ess,

Given the quality of your work in comparison to the "run-of-the-mill" threads that have been clogging this site of late  please continue posting examples of your work. They are a refreshing change. :ok:

Aye Ess
9th Aug 2011, 00:23
Thank you PLovett, that's encouraging.

However,my passion/enthusiasm/obsession with aviation art does tend to make me 'run off at the mouth' & I find I have to curtail my immense drive lest I get a PM from the moderators telling me 'to back off Bozo & let others have a go'.
