Can anyone help me out with the following:
Do many captains commute to DRW?
How do-able is it, given the current rosters?
How hard is it given the limited number of flights to DRW?
Do you get many days at home?
Thanks!

Russia to Darwin is one long commute, doubt you would get many days at home. :}

There are no reply for that thread!!!
Anybody care to comment???
I have been told something in the order of 80% of JQ Captains commute from vaious East Coast ports due high cost of Darwin. I can't vouch for the veracity of that information though. JQ commuters also have access to QF staff travel.

JQ don't build commuting rosters for DRW. They did try to help for those that were forced transferred originally. The flying and Max use of your flight & duty limits (LCC technique for optimum use of resources) don't often lend to commuting anywhere effectively.
Good Luck.
