I took my frozen ATPL a year ago, and my license is expiring in like a month, I have still not been able to land.

Anyone know any jobs, where i could get at least a couple of hours a month so that I can stay current.

I m loosing faith :(

Om du inte vill ta den dyra genvägen p2f (pay to fly) så finns det bara ett sätt att göra och det är att åka land å rike runt till olika taxi eller bruksflygs företag. Kanske åka till till Nextjet eller direktflyg och visa upp dig. Dessa bolag har mellan tummen och pekfingret sådär en miljon ansökningar och då brukar det ge dig som söker en fördel om du visar upp dig. Var beredd att flytta på dig och att jobba 24/7 för mat och husrum. Det funkade för mig för 15 år sedan och det funkar säkert idag oxå. Men precis som för 15 år sedan måste du nog betala en typinflygning på den aktuella typen om det så är en Piper Cub;)

Push and pursue, fly for free and pay if You have to - as long as You stay active and make it happen. There is always flying to be done for a guy like You.

Its a matter of preferences - of what to sacrifice.

Uppskattar det verkligen. Ja jag är beredd o göra allt som krävs av mig. Och jag är beredd att spendera det som behövs, men var börjar man, har ringt till de flesta taxi, fallskärms bolag i sverige men bara fått höra samma sak, behöver ingen för tillfället hör av oss om vi behöver någon.

Jag vet inte det kanske jag som efterbliven, och vet inte riktigt vad jag ska göra, blir så osäker ibland, ingen bra kvalite hos en pilot antar jag.

Jag var på Ryanair intervju de tog mina pengar men inget mer, man får inte ens en feedback, så man vet inte vad man gör fel :(

Jag ska definitivt prova med Nextjets de har sitt huvud kontor i solna så det inte långt, men frågan är ska man bara direkt ditt och fråga pilotchefen eller?

I m sorry guys dont know if I should write in english or swedish I assume most of the guys posting here undrestands swedish more or less.

Flyguy I hear what you are saying but so far I have been unsuccesful, I mean I have even offered to work for free, even though i think its unfair agianst otherguys and even mysself who have spent so much money, time and effort to get here, but what can you do when you are desperate :(

Apply as cabin crew, and get to know the people in the company. Its the best way to get in, if you dont have experience or an uncle in the management.

get a real job, enjoy family life and make more money. in most part of europe education is free so make the simple calculation.

3-5 years at university meeting intelligent and pretty girls every day of the week. great and wild partying and you don't break the law the next day when turning up for the show (not flying).

you get a job day 1 when when finished your degree.

if your company goes bust or downsize you gained enough experience to land another job the next day.

on the other side BECOMING a pilot.

first worry how to find enough money to take you to the zillion quality hours required to get a job -if you get one.

most likely it will take time if at all.

so you wasted all that time and money and now you worry about why there aren't any jobs around and why no one loves you AND stuck with a massive debt that you need to pay back on a Ronald McDonald salary.

A friend of mine who now works in the middle east for an oil company lands about Euro 200,000 (not a plane) a year net. free housing, electricity, utility bills etc. Offered other great jobs all the time with other companies around the world.

A typical pilot: in the middle east gets around the US$180,000 mark all in if very lucky at the same age bracket.

Conclusion don't become a pilot and dreamer.

And I forgot to mention. Pilots have a due date. Just like eggs, after that no one wants to have them.

Jack 123, thanks for your words of encouragement, but since i m not able to turn back time I dont really see how your pesimistic advice can help me.

Strategy, nej inget än, funderar på att dra ner till afrika, men först måste jag göra pc, har inte flugit på mer än ett år, vet inte riktigt hur det kommer gå:/ har du några råd?

i agree with you Trolley no education is safe nowdays, I have friends with regular degrees who still havent found jobs within thier area of experties.

Tyvær har jag inga råd att ge dig så jag sitter i samma situation som dig, dock ett halvår kvar till min førsta PC.
