Spotted this in the AOPA newsletter. Looks good - menu here: http://www.airbasecoventry.com/downloads/DC6%20Lunch%20Menu.pdf.

Anyone tried it? Looks like the perfect spot for lunch!

For those of the flying prevention branch and others incapable of finding it without aircrew to show them the way ;) , here is the wine list: http://www.airbasecoventry.com/downloads/DC6%20Diner%20Wine%20List.pdf

And yes, Airbase is a very good place to visit!

One assumes that the £10/head entrance fee is waived if one dines in the restaurant, otherwise it becomes a rather expensive lunch. Nice shot on the Airbase website of a DC6 "coming in to land" in 2006 after filming for 'Casino Royale' - pity the gear is still up!

NO fee to get into the diner.

Nice food and friendly service.

I work literally across the road from there if anyone wants me to duck in try some food. I am more than happy to slide out of the office and make this sacrifice. No really I am.

Do they still have an ILS at Coventry? Looks like SRA only these days...

I believe they still do. It still listed in the fees document for 2011 and as recent as April 2010 there was a planing application objection put in to a new building that might interfere with the ILS operation.
