Now that we've sorted out 'Ghostrider' can someone tell a Man From The Land Downunder which airlines 'Cactus' and 'Waterski' are, and what type of aircraft I should be looking for? 'Cactus' operate around the southwest USA and 'Waterski' operate mostly in the northeast USA, especially around New York, but I believe I used to hear them around LAX, too. Apologies if that is not exactly the callsign but that's what it sounds like to me. Mind you, 'Qwannas' doesn't sound the same said with a Brooklyn accent, either.

Waterski is a commuter called Trans States. They are headquartered in St. Louis but do a lot of business in the NorthEast. They have Bae Jetstream 41's and Embraer Regional Jets. They fly out of Boston,NY, and Washington, Baltimore, Etc.
Cactus is SouthWest with 737's of various sorts.

I have a feeling Southwest's callsign is actually "Southwest". I believe "Cactus" is America West.

OK, thanks for the info. Do Trans States operate in their own colours or do they operate as somebody's commuter?

At one time Trans States operated as a TWA Express carrier.
The Embraers out of Boston are in both US Airways Express colors and Trans States schemes.

I think this will help clear things up.
