Has any expert out there come across an oil pressure gauge reading in HPZ?
What does it convert to in PSI?
Gauge reads 2.9 HPZ at max static, is that 42.06~ PSI in which case HPZ=BAR?
Help please.

I believe HPZ stands for hectapieze, which is French word for bar, so 1 HPZ would equal 1 bar.

I stand to be corrected though.

I believe HPZ stands for hectapieze, which is French word for bar.Are you sure? if you google hectapieze, it returns only 1 (one) entry: your post above.

HPZ, on the other hand, returns only one relevant result (http://www.acronymfinder.com/HPZ.html): High Pressure Zone.
Is the caption located towards the end of the scale at all? That might explain it. :)
