A long time ago, in an airport far far away, well actually, it was in the UK, there was a helicopter company. Said company somehow managed to successfully win a contract which had been the mainstay of the previous outgoing company for many years.
The pilots from the outgoing company were offered jobs at the last minute, but even then, it was to be a long time before they would actually be accepted as real pilots in the new company. A plastics company were employed to design and manufacture a number of large hoop-like creations through which these unfortunate pilots had to jump.

Unfortunately, the new company tasked with running the contract decided that their own pilots would work without leave. Not the best way to keep the troops happy.
Add to that, changing the rules last minute to suit themselves with regard to training, promotions, and no wonder the workforce were really peeved. Some decided to walk. Some are deciding on the best course of action, the company themselves don't give a damn how many people leave. On the one hand they say they aren't short of pilots (they are) and on the other, they bring in two 'international' pilots to plug the gaps. Seems like a really forward thinking, well managed company to me. I guess this could be any company out there today though. :hmm:

Sorry to hear that there has been no improvement at that place in the UK! it was fun to work there. I hope it all comes good for you guys - either there or at pastures new.
