Is a "frozen ATPL" an issued CPL/IR then when the hours requirementsand,or, Multi-Pilot Aircraft rating are met/added you apply for an ATPL...or is it issued as such?

A "frozen" ATPL means you have a CPL/IR with ATPL exam credits. It unfreezes when you have all the hours required for the issue of an ATPL. ie night, multi crew, total time.. .The term is a UK one.

Thanks for taking the time to reply most appreciated. I have everything bar the LST-MPA rating for an ATPL so I'll refer to it as "Frozen".
